July 27, 2014 – NEWS: S. Johnathan Davis has been accepted as an active member of the Horror Writers Association (HWA). This prestigious organization of writers and publishing professionals is focused on promoting dark literature and the authors who are dedicated to writing it.
Formed in the late 1980′s with the help of many of the field’s greats, including Dean Koontz, Robert McCammon, and Joe Lansdale, the HWA has over 600 members globally.
“When I set out to tell my first story, I could only dream that I’d someday be part of such a an amazing group of professional writers.” noted S. Johnathan Davis.
The HWA is well known in the industry for publishing the annual Bram Stoker Awards for superior achievement in horror literature. Named in honor of the author of the seminal horror novel Dracula, the Stokers are presented for superior writing in eight categories including traditional fiction of various lengths, poetry, and non-fiction.
